Tiger Temple
A new Sumatran tiger habitat, funded by the Milton family’s $2 million gift, featuring nose-to-whiskers viewing and inspiring the Zoo Squad’s newest mascot, Mateo.
Great Apes Habitat
Reimagined great ape spaces designed to support the return of a gorilla troop and breeding programs for orangutans and chimpanzees.

Children’s Zoo
A reimagined space for young children’s first hands-on animal encounters, designed to turn curiosity into compassion.
Splash Pad / Water Play
A shaded, zero-entry family water-play experience designed for comfort in Miami’s subtropical climate.
Giraffe Experience
An expanded Savannah environment designed to extend the giraffe encounter beyond the existing feeding platform.
Medical Care
Expanding Zoo Miami’s capacity to provide exceptional veterinary care and wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and recovery.
Animal Hospital
A new approximately 25,000-square-foot veterinary hospital designed to support advanced animal care with guest-viewing areas that offer a window into Zoo Miami’s world-class veterinary work.
Manatee Rescue, Rehabilitation & Release Center
A dedicated facility supporting manatee rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and return to the wild. One of only five such centers in the US and the only one in South Florida.
Conservation
Expanding Zoo Miami’s role in species recovery, conservation science and research locally and globally.

A research hub envisioned to expand Zoo Miami’s conservation capacity, including a Frozen Zoo biorepository.
Foundation For The Future
Long-term investments that expand Zoo Miami’s educational reach and strengthen the Foundation’s ability to sustain its mission for future generations.
Education Center
Purpose-built classrooms and flexible learning spaces designed to expand school programs, camps and conservation education across South Florida.
Operating Endowment
Long-term financial support designed to strengthen the Foundation’s ability to sustain the Zoo and its mission over time.
